Naming Ceremony

A Naming Ceremony is a unique and special occasion that celebrates a person in the lives of their family, friends and community.

As an important rite-of-passage, the ceremony can involve any number of elements that have significant meaning to you, including readings, music, candles, and acknowledging Guardians/Godparents. It may be held in your home, a park or any other suitable setting.

 

Babies

As a non-religious alternative to a christening or baptism, this is the perfect opportunity for family and friends to share their joy and welcome the baby into the community.

Children

Providing a Naming Ceremony for older children, stepchildren or adopted children is a wonderful way to enhance their self-esteem and affirm their place within the family.

Adults

Adults who have, for various reasons, outgrown their birth names find a renewedsense of belonging by choosing their new name and celebrating it with loved ones.

My services to you include:

  • Obligation-free introductory meeting
  • Attention to detail and professional service at all times
  • Fully insured and registered celebrant
  • Guarantee that no other ceremony will be booked so close that I arrive late or leave early
  • Creation and editorial assistance in creating your readings
  • Additional meetings face-to-face, as required
  • Unlimited contact via phone or email
  • Provision of a PA System for use during the ceremony, if required
  • Travel within 70km of Cherrybrook
  • My arrival minimum 20 minutes prior to your ceremony to ensure all is ready to proceed
  • Presentation of your Naming Certificate on the day

Please note: Should I be unable to attend your ceremony, due to serious illness or any reason beyond my control, I will arrange for a professional and experienced replacement Celebrant from the Association of Authorised Marriage Celebrants Australia Inc to replace me, at no additional charge to you.

Fees: Total $400 (inc GST)

  • Deposit of $200 is required to secure your date. The deposit is non-refundable if the date is cancelled for any reason. I am happy to transfer the deposit to a revised date if I am available.
  • Payment of the balance is required a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the date. The balance is non-refundable if the date is cancelled or transferred for any reason.

Additional Costs (if required):

  • Travel to another City or State
  • Parking (for city venues) and water taxis (for harbour ceremonies)
  • Overnight accommodation
  • Any unusual location for the ceremony, eg in a hot-air balloon
